Just shows that you can have 72% possession in a game but if you don't do anything with it you will not carry a porous defence.
It is becoming a case of us scoring more than the opposition each week which is stating the obvious but if you start the game knowing that we will inevitably concede it puts a greater load on the attack.

As in the Cup games he has played Kelly was left exposed too many times so it is difficult to judge him but his distribution did look better and he seemed to be very vocal. It is worth persevering with him and hopefully we will get the defence in front of him sorted.

When we are going forward we play some of the best football for some seasons but at times it looks like two Rs teams on the pitch Attack and so called Defence with little linking them. We probably need a strong midfield general to sort it out.

I know he has scored goals but still not convinced about Hugill who seems to lumber about the area with little end product. He definitely needs the ball played to him and seems to create little himself by movement. Lost count of the crosses hitting the first defender last night so maybe we need to work on that aspect to get the best out of him.
Eze, Chair and Manning all very lively and BOS had some good runs but his finishing doesn't get any better.

Better day at the office compared to Saturday but same end product I'm afraid.

Good points there Essex

Repeating myself yet again. We can not defend full stop! This has been obvious to me since the second week of the season. The last time I looked at the league table only bottom clubs Stoke and Huddersfield have let more goals in.

Whats the point of playing good football and having plenty of the play if you cant even perform the basics at the back. Every game this season except against WBA we have had the majority of the game and look where we are.

There is a big problem in the centre of our defence and the Goal Keeping dept I reckon....but come on this is getting beyond a joke and is currently leaving our prospects ruined.

We may win on Saturday but I am not expecting us to keep a clean sheet.
