News from the Club...

U23s WINGER Deshane Dalling is eyeing a big season in W12 after signing a one-year contract extension with QPR earlier this week.

The pacey wide-man – who joined Rangers from Huddersfield Town midway through the 2017/18 season – has missed the last few months with an MCL (Medial Collateral Ligament) injury.

But with full fitness now in sight, he says that he is delighted to have committed his future to the R’s until the summer of 2020.

“I’m very happy to sign,” he said. “I’ve been through a lot with my MCL injury but I’m very happy to be back on track and getting myself ready for next season.

“It was a lot to take in when I got injured but I believed in myself, worked hard in the gym, focussed on coming back even fitter and even stronger and now I’m raring to go.”

Dalling paid special thanks to Academy Physiotherapist Josh Adebayo for helping him during his recovery.

The 20-year-old said: “Josh helped me a lot, not just with the injury but helped me and guided me in the right ways; friends and family, everyone at the club has helped to keep me positive. I can’t wait to start the new season now.”

Once pre-season does get started, Dalling, like all of the club’s young players, will be keen to impress new manager Mark Warburton.

He said: “As soon as we come back in, I want to show the manager ‘this is what I can do’. I want to get around his squad and work as hard as I possibly can".

Nice of the club to reveal WHY he wasn't playing for the last 2 months of the season. The silence from the club in regards to all youth players is embarrassing at times.
