Hope that we get some interesting friendlies during the summer. I heard a rumour about Cornwall/Devon. So start off with somewhere like Bodmin

From Vital - Kit sponsors evening He told me that the plans were already completed and that, firstly, there would be a trip down to Cornwall for a few days. Then over to Italy for a week or so before finally, the week before the season starts, a home game against a Premier team. (I asked him if he'd let on just who that team was; but he wouldn't, other than to admit it was a London Prem team!) Read more: http://www.qpr.vitalfootball.co.uk/article.asp?a=196936#ixzz0mWy69A16THe rest of the report sounds very promising.

Torquay Site says that we are going there pre-season, no date mentioned. Plymouth/Exeter will probably be next ? Hope that we get an interesting fixture in Cornwall.

Season starting on 7th August sounds very early, especially with it being world cup summer. I'd imagine it'd be week after

Apparently the season does start Aug 7th. The last pre season friendly will normally be Sat 31st July then and Mr Russell has a reliable tip that we're playing Newcastle at home in a friendly at some stage so it has to be a fair bet it will be on the 31st.

No need - I also thought it seemed very early with it being a WC summer
