A 1908 Taddy & Co. QPR Cigarette Card from Series 2 – P. G. Skilton Taddy & Co. produced three sets of cards in their Prominent Footballer series; 1907, 1908 and finally 1913. This particular card is from the second series that was issued in 1908. Once again the series included two different back designs, ‘Imperial Tobacco’ and ‘Grapnel Mixture’. The 19th Independent R’s Badge

My latest badge has been selling steadily from day one. Taking into account sales and firm orders, at the time of writing, I have 26 available. The 15th Taddy & Co. QPR Cigarette Card – Archie Mitchell

Taddy & Co. produced three sets of cards in their Prominent Footballer series. This is the 15th and final QPR card from the first series that was issued in 1907. On the reverse side of this original card it reads: ‘A ripe, full flavoured Pipe Tobacco, fine cut. In a good well-seasoned briar or a well-coloured meerschaum it will be found an admirable tobacco.’ The legendary Archie Mitchell was born in Smethwick on 15th December 1885. The 1991 QPR Open Day at the Guinness Sports and Social Club

The 1991 Open Day was held at the Guinness Sports and Social Club. It also featured a cricket match between a Guinness Club X1 and a QPR FC X1. Taddy & Co. produced three sets of cards in their Prominent Footballer series. This latest one is the 14th QPR card that I have featured from the first series issued in 1907. On the reverse side of this original card it reads: ‘A ripe, full flavoured Pipe Tobacco, fine cut. Taddy & Co. produced three sets of cards in their Prominent Footballer series. This latest one is the 13th QPR card that I have featured from the first series issued in 1907. The 1977 7” Single: ‘Queens Park Rangers’ b/w ‘Drive Me Down to QPR’

In 1977, Gama Records Ltd of 153 Percy Road, Shepherd’s Bush, released the 7‚Äù single: ‘Queens Park Rangers’. The press release read as follows: ‘The Loftus Road Runners Kick Off‚Ķ Mention football records and the most likely reaction is a groan – not surprisingly, because since ‘Back Home’ helped us lose the World Cup in 1970, their form has been worse than England’s. The Comic Connection – No. 18 – Rover and Wizard – 23rd November 1968

Published by D. C. Thomson, ‘The Wizard’ was launched as long ago as the 22nd September 1922. Then in September 1963, it merged with ‘The Rover’. This particular issue is dated 23rd November 1968 and qualifies for this series because among the footballers featured on the front cover was R’s goalkeeper, Ron Springett.
